In this article, we’re going to cook sirloin steak on a griddle because of its tasty succulence. Besides, good sirloin contains the ideal fat content and great marbling. Know what marbling is? Well, it refers to the content of intramuscular fat contained in the cut.

Now you’ve got your cut and your griddle, right? So, are you good to start cooking your steak? Not yet! There are some important tools you need. This includes things like; aluminum foil, a timer, paper towel, and tongs. 

Moreover, since we’re talking about cooking steak like a pro, we’ll need some ingredients to spice things up. In this case, we’ll use the following ingredients:

  • Sirloin steak
  • Olive oil
  • Freshly ground pepper and sea salt
  • Fresh garlic, fresh peppers, and ground paprika.

  • Was your cut stored in a refrigerator? If it was, you can’t just take it out and put it on the griddle right away! Instead, you’ve it at leave it at room temperature for about 20 minutes. Otherwise, it will not cook uniformly.

The Cooking Process: How To Cook Sirloin Steak On A Griddle

  • Put your sirloin steaks on the preheated griddle surface and space them uniformly. You don’t need to grease or oil the griddle, since the steak has its fat
  • Watch them cook on one side for about 2 - 3 minutes.
  • The griddle surface gives steaks a good sear. This enables you to know when they are ready to be flipped or removed after both sides are properly cooked. When flipping, you never use a fork.

Cooking T-bone Steak on Griddle 

Although the process of cooking T-bone steaks is not much different from the process above, some things like ingredients will be different. In this case, you need; oil, 1.5” thick T-bone steak, pepper and salt. If you’ve those ingredients, proceed to the following steps:

  • Remove the T-beef steak out of its packaging and pat it with paper towels to remove excess moisture.
  • Leave it at ambient temperature for about 30 minutes.
  • Preheat you large cast iron griddle over medium heat.
  • Use some oil to lightly brush your T-bone steak and season it with pepper and salt.
  • Adjust the griddle’s temperature to high and put the steak on the hot surface.
  • Let the 1st side cook for 7 minutes then flip it when it turns brown.
  • Let the 2nd side cook for about 4 minutes, hold it with tongs and sear its edges.
  • Remove the steak from the griddle surface and put it on a cutting board.
  • Cover it with an aluminum foil and allow it to rest for about 5 minutes.
  • Now, cut the strip and tenderloin from the bone, slice it against the grain.

During the cold season, outdoor grilling is not much of an option. Not to mention that going to your favorite restaurant is not that easy as well. So, if you’re thinking about searing steak on a griddle follow these steps: 

  • Make sure you’ve the following ingredients: oil, steak, pepper, salt and compound butter.
  • Season the steak with salt and let them rest for 1 hour before you sear them. This gives the steak enough time to get to ambient temperature as the seasoning incorporates into the steak.
