Ingredients for this recipe are:

  • Finely chopped parsley, 1/4 cup
  • 2 tablespoons of finely chopped oregano
  • Extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 shallot, chopped
  • Red chilies or red jalapeño, finely chopped
  • Thinly sliced garlic cloves
  • Red wine vinegar, ½ cup
  • Salt to taste
  • Finely chopped cilantro, ½ cup

How to prepare the sauce:

Now that you know what ingredients you will need to follow this recipe. Next step is, preparing the sauce. First, mix shallot, chili, garlic, vinegar, and salt in a medium bowl. 

After 10 minutes, add cilantro, parsley, and oregano and stir everything. Now, add olive oil and mix it well with all other ingredients. 

Once your sauce is ready, you can either use it as a marinade or serve over grilled meat. I suppose you can do both, depending on your taste buds. 

If you plan to marinade the meat with Chimichurri sauce, then you have to dip the meat in bbq sauce and let it chill at least 3 hours or up to overnight before grilling.

  • 2 tablespoons oregano leaves

  • 1/4 cup coarsely chopped parsley
  • 3 tablespoons red wine vinegar
  • 4 large garlic cloves, minced (2 1/2 tablespoons)

In order to make the sauce, you will have to blend the parsley, garlic, crushed red pepper, and oregano. Then add vinegar into the mixture and season it with pepper and salt.
Pour the sauce into a bowl and add the olive oil in the mixture. Let the sauce sit for 20 minutes before you use it.
